Is Joomla hard to learn?

Joomla is not hard and has never been hard. What makes this system hard is the lack of willingness from the user to learn this CMS system and the mistake to listen to others who think Joomla is hard.
Remember negativity is an infectious disease.
Hard is a estate of mind
Look, I will put this in these simple words. “There is nothing hard to learn in this world.”
Hard does not exist in knowledge.
The only thing that exist is the willingness to give everything you have, aka go the extra mile, for that learning.
Trust me, the moment you change your mindset from thinking that something is “hard to learn” to “I have the power to learn everything I want”, everything changes.
But you truly have to believe it in your bones.
Joomla is hard and easy
If you think Joomla is hard to learn, you will be right.
If you think Joomla is easy to learn, you will be right as well.
Look, there is no doubt that the power of the mind is a reality and it has been for a while.
Just remember what the great Henry Ford said long time ago, “if you think you can do it or not, either way you are correct”.
That simple quote, believe it or not, applies to everything you do on life.
Whatever you think of something, becomes a reality at some point and Joomla my friend, is not an exception.
Now, that does not mean if you repeat 1000 times Joomla is NOT hard it will become easier.
Nope, that's not how it works.
But the way you approach things, mentally, will affect the outcome of everything you learn for sure.
The easiness of Joomla is a combination of several things going on while learning this CMS and your thoughts about it are a big part of your success.
Obviously I don’t want to sound very spiritual or metaphysical in here because that’s not my point.
My point is for you to become aware of this power called mindset and the way you use it, consciously and unconsciously.
Hard or easy is always your choice
Back then when I started learning in 2007, I can tell you that it never crossed my mind Joomla was hard to learn.
Why not?
Well, for once I think because I was not paying attention to the online community.
Many of them, as I found out later, were already thinking:
- That Joomla was hard.
- That Joomla was too complicated.
-That Joomla was not good for SEO.
-That WordPress was easier than Joomla.
And the list goes on and on and on.
Look if you pay attention to others, especially those whining about Joomla and just saying how hard it is, Joomla will always be hard for you no matter what.
Trust me, negativity is contagious and a very dangerous disease.
Stay away from those people who don’t like Joomla.
The gifted ones are always defeatable
Now obviously some people will come into this world with better talents than others.
Meaning that they will learn Joomla faster and better than others.
These are what I call the gifted ones.
People born with talents for understanding coding, languages, and new things in a breeze.
But make no mistake here, I am not a gifted one.
That’s why I can tell you that everyone, and I mean everyone has the power to learn Joomla and make it easy overtime.
Persistence, dedication, and never taking the foot-off the gas will always win.
Smart is not a requirement here.
Joomla, WordPress, and Drupal
If you analyze the top three CMS systems, you can find out that all of them are the same.
1) Joomla is created with PHP and requires a database to store information.
Guess what you will find in WordPress and Drupal?
The exact same thing.
2) Joomla uses also HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.
Guess what WordPress and Drupal use?
The exact same thing.
I am telling you right now, if you can learn anything on web development, you can learn Joomla.
This CMS system is not that different than learning any other thing in life.
First things you need to learn in Joomla
Now if you want to start learning Joomla, you need to focus in a couple things and nothing else.
For instance, to get the basic level understanding you need to learn and understand:
1. How Joomla is installed
2. What Joomla extensions are, how they work, and how they are installed
Joomla extensions are pretty much 4: plugins, modules, components, and templates.
They are used to enhanced the capabilities of your Joomla website and make it look better.
3) How pages are created and published in Joomla.
Most pages in Joomla are published through menus with a few exceptions like when blogging.
And that’s it.
Now of course you still have a lot to learn and with Joomla, in the same way as with technology, you will never stop learning.
Trust me on that, I have been there since 2007.
How to master Joomla?
To master Joomla, you first need to define what mastering will look like for you.
Why?
Because most likely you won't need to learn everything about Joomla.
For instance, some people just want to focus on helping their company administering their internal Joomla website.
Others just want to sell cheap Joomla websites.
Others want to blog with Joomla.
Others want to build a big Joomla agency.
Others want to build Joomla extensions and sell them to the market.
Others want to only focus on SEO within Joomla.
Others want to build Joomla templates.
Others want to make lots of money with this CMS.
As you can see mastering Joomla can mean many things for many people which gives you the opportunity to become a master on one specific thing and still succeed with Joomla.
You don't need to be the Jack of all trades in Joomla to be a master.

Mastering Joomla will depend on your needs and wants.

Joomla is NOT slow, what makes Joomla SLOW is a thing called YOU.

Unfortunately 90% of the Joomla users have no clue about this.
They don't know how to speed up Joomla.
And most importantly, they don't know how not to make Joomla slow.
So Joomla is NOT slow, you are the one who make it slow.
9) Is Joomla good for SEO?
Of course Joomla is good for SEO.
